Katy Daly

Running Coach

Running Coach Katie graduated in 2015 from St. Mary’s University in Twickenham studying Sport Rehabilitation. She is also a full member of the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers. Throughout her time at university, Katie volunteered at the London Marathon providing sports massages to the runners which she found a very enjoyable event and plans on continuing with this in the future. Katie has also worked with the London Irish Academy rugby team doing sports massages. Katie has been actively involved in sports since childhood with her main interests being swimming and netball. This led to her being a swimming assistant dealing with young children, one of whom had Cerebral Palsy. Katie has a keen interest in working with children improving their running, movement and coordination issues. Katie likes to incorporate many different activities during her sessions to make them entertaining but challenging focusing on speed, agility and balance mainly. Katie also takes Dynamic Movement Skills classes at Sevenoaks School working with children who are hyper mobile, dyspraxic, requiring rehabilitation after injury or high performance athletes. Being able to see someone’s improvements is one of Katie’s main highlights of working at The Running School. Seeing someone progress from the first initial session to the final session is a very overwhelming experience for both Katie and her client. In her spare time Katie likes going to the gym, swimming and searching where to go for her next holiday.
